Ok, today was a nice day outside and I decided to pull out all my 2-stroke things in the garage and fire them up. Somehow I got motivated to play around with my 029 project saw. I put the carberator back on and threw in some fresh mix. I cranked the saw over several times quickly and it started on it's own! Sweet! Next thing I know.......while reving up the saw, I noticed fuel spraying out of the fuel line leading up to the carb!!!! I shut the saw off and took the fuel line off and noticed 3 large cracked splits on the hose. I figured, "how much can one of these cost?" I checked my local Stihl dealer and a few small engine shops in search for a replacement fuel line. Basically the line costs around $10.00!!! Yikes! This price may seem petty, but for a college student on a "shoe-string" budget.......I may have to wait a while.:bang: Perhaps someone out in "AS Land" has one of these fuel lines sittin' around or maybe access to a better priced replacement? I'm sure if I get that hose fixed, I'll be in business. :rockn:
