There's a guy selling an 042 AV locally and I was wondering how much it would be worth in running condition? And how hard would parts be to find, and whats the biggest bar it could run? Thanks. Evan

I don't have a clue what the thing is worth. All total in mine, new plastic, paint and 20" bar and chain plus a $5 SEM coil .Also a carb kit, maybe 8 bucks, after market.Perhaps a tad over $200.They bring plus or minus about that on e-bay.

How some ever,as myself and other people have said,on the 042/048 be carefull of the bolts holding the case halves together because they are known case leakers. If it has not already been done, replace the slotted screws with either torx head or socket head screws.Put a liitle dab of never-cease on them. Not a bad old saw if you can get to the case leak before it happens.

As I type, however,I have an 048 leaker that I can't seem to find the time to fix.Ah but I must because I have every intentions of running it at Luther Mich. in the 0 to 80 if I can make the show.Heavens, not only do I have to fix the saw,now another tuned pipe. Not enough hours in the day.

It's 100 in running condition. Would need a new bar and chain though. Can I get parts from my dealer if it broke? Thanks. Evan
