hEY cahainsaw dudes, i've enquired in the past bout the problems I'm having with a 046 magnum we have. The Lambert made me think the _ucking saw was toast but I've been working with it more lately and keep wondering whats wrong.
It powers up fine for a few tank-fulls and then starts to loose power and eventually quits. And no re-starting.
Compression seems fine. No abvious boot or cylinder gasket leakes.
We're not chainsaw experts but this one has us guessing.

Ignition coil. I've seen them "brown out", and will start and run cold, until the saw gets good and hot, maybe say after an hour or two, then the saw just dies and won't start up again. Have your coil tested. How long has it been since you rebuilt your carburetor?

not ignition, maybe gas

the old bean thinks it a fuel problem.., ice. But none of the other saws does this. Has anyone had a leak with their 046 that wold mimic this problem..., before I take the top end off.

how far you from Barrie
