Local shop has a 460 for sale. needs a top end.

From what I can see, it does not look too bad, minor scuffing on the ex. side.

clutch & oil pump are off of it. carb is off & the covers are all off.

All of the parts are suposedly there in a box.

cosmeticly it is not in bad shape, just normal wear.

piston still had the machining marks on it. Believe it had a crank seal fail.

They are going to shoot me a price in a few days.

What is it worth ??

If the price is right, I might pick it up & put a BB kit on it.

They also had a 029 super that looked complete. muffler was off & piston looked like new. I assume it neds a carb job.

These were saws that were abandoned by the owners.

On a side note, they were selling orange bottle Stihl mix oil for $29 a six pack for the big bottles. Yes, thats right $29 & $19 for the smaller bottles.

I thought it was odd, that this was the only Stihl oil they had.

Sounds like a lot of work restore I would try to get it cheap,
I don't think I would pay more than 200.00 for a pro saw needing
cylinder and crank seals as may need bearing and crank when you get in
there. Will cylinder hone pm lakeside 53, Thall or mow they know all
about those saws and what you may have to spend to geter goin.
