Anybody know the difference between these two? Clutch, oiler, ignition, carb??? I got what was said to be a straight 056, but the jug and piston are Magnum. Name plate on the top of the saw doesn't say Magnum, but I guess it could have been rubbed away or replaced. Happily, the compression is fantastic, and the bearings are tight and make no noise. Need to pull the flywheel and see why I have no spark.

Thanks, Chris B.

Chris- it's bore size- 056 Magnum has a 56mm piston vs. the 056 which has a 54mm. The muffler is different too- The 056 has an internal baffle and fire screen which are very restricted. The Magnum muffler is opened up a bit.

I know about the piston difference. Is the Magnum muffler the same as the muffler on an 045 Super? It has a pretty large exhaust opening with a large screen covering the front--my friend said that it wasn't much of a muffler at all, just a spark arrestor. The straight 045 muffler I have had just a little opening at the very bottom and a whole lot quieter.

Guess I'll need to get the Magnum nameplate to set things straight.

Thanks, Chris B.
