I've just done a rebuild on an 066M,and after one tank of gas the saw stops whilst cutting.
It doesn't rev up like it's going lean, just cuts for a minute or less, then conks out. So I...
Swapped out the coil.No change.
Rebuilt the carby......No change
Replaced the fuel filter.No change
Replaced the fuel line complete. No change
Swapped the carby with one out of an MS660.No change.
Replaced the fuel vent.No change.

Sooooo I think what is left? I'm going bald by now.!!and running out of ideas

I get a torch and look at the impulse line,,,,WOOHOO. The crankcase end is
flopping in the breeze.Pop it back on (easier said than done),start her up,and she's right as rain. Cutting as only the Magnum can.

Such a small piece of rubber,BUT Oh-So important!!!.

If only I had looked there first...But a good learning curve anyway.

If there is a moral to this story,I would love to know what it is.

Those pulse lines are PITA sometimes, I had a problem with one of my 44's, but mine would pick up 2-3k revs from idle on its own, not good when your climbing with it.

hows rotovegas treating you? There are always cheap saws to be found in Ford block!

The language differences had me going for a second. I was thinking you were PO'ed and took a cutting torch to your impulse hose. :hmm3grin2orange:

Glad it all worked out fer ya.

Moral is look over the entire saw before ripping out parts to replace and rebuild. Start with the simple stuff and work your way forward. Glad you got your saw running.
