I know there is another tank here but I need the older style that takes the carb cover that uses the square filter not the round one. I have the correct covers that work on the older style and would prefer to keep my 066 non-decomp covers.

I have a few different early ones including a redlight, wouldn't want a lot for them but postage may be the deal breaker.

yea I think the postage kills... Now if you had a yellow dolmar or two we could package and ship together! LOL.

Thanks anyhow.

I have a tank that will work for you. Also have a new AM 3/4 handle for the older 66's the tank is a white tank though.

Nate do you know the part number of the tank you need?
I don't... I'm looking at IPLs today and going to figure out what I need and don't need.

I got one of those AM 3/4 wraps and the last 660 I put it on, didn't allow the chain brake to work. I'm guessing I needed to put it on an older 066 instead of a 660?

Yes the chainbrake will not engage on the newer 066 and 660 but the old 66's with the oem chainbrake handle it will work. I ran into the same issue.

you need a different brake handle i think.

OK, so I looked through all my 066 stuff and think I can still make another...

I still need the 066 tank that is narrower than the newer ms660 tanks. My air box's are to narrow to screw onto the tank. I think the one I need has the little wings on the carb box area and is 1122 350 0816.

I have extra 066 AF covers and other 066/660 parts to trade. I have 3x 660/066 fuel tanks that might be able to be used if you're good at plastic welding. Also have a spare crankcase and maybe a good cylinder.

PM me with price and pics guys!

Thanks,
Nate

i only have a wide one.......sorry.

check with warped5, he may have one still.
I took the last wide one he had. Don't think he has anymore...

Kinda a shame to have such nice bright orange 066 covers and not have the ability to use them on a saw... Not going to pay $100+ for a narrow tank when I can get an am tank and covers for $80 kinda thing...

They don't make narrow tanks but I can use the wide tank and new top covers to make a older 066 saw into a ms660 saw without much trouble. They fit the same to the crankcases... they just don't allow the use of the older flat top covers.

Did you get a white tank or see thru from kyle? I have a see thru wide & would like to swap for a see thru narrow & I may even add in my white narrow if necessary. I got the wide from kyle, but yet to return it, would rather send it to someone would could use it.

Please link up the aftermarket see thru narrow as I have not found any. Thanks

I'm not 100% on what I need yet... I have 3 crankcases and 90% of the parts I need to throw a 066 together but the newer style wide air boxes won't let me use the older style top covers which I have 3 nice sets of.

I suppose if need be I could trade the older top covers for another set of ms660 top plastics and use your wide tank, but we'll see. Kyle and I have been talking about his white tank which I know would work with my top covers but have to make sure the tank will fit the crank cases...

I have so much going on this weekend with the indy car and nascar truck races this weekend I'm hoping to get 5-6 shop hours to sort out what parts i need and do a little welding to my trailer.
