I got offered a 066 mag 20" b&c today, $150, sounded good
Been runover, chainbrake handle gone, handlebar bent, filter cover broken, generally dirty and old.
Starts well, runs good, low compression
Told him I'd get back to him, hafta go to his house tomorrow anyway.
whatcha think? good deal or pass, or just OK?

Check to see whats causing the low comp. If the cylinders is trashed I would pass on it, but if it just needs new rings why not buy it? You could easily piece together the parts to get it up and running for minimal money.

For $150 I'd pass on that one, lotta do ra me for a parts saw. Something used and abused like that, hard telling what else has been damaged. I'd offer 50, maybe 75 bucks, Who else is the seller going to sell it to?? If he don't sell the saw, it will end up in the garbage sooner or later.

Thanks for the replies, guys, you fellers were close to where I was about it. Offered the guy $75, (my bro-in-law is selling it for an older guy) Haven't heard anything yet.
I really only wanted one to play with, u know- mod, without taking any chances on my day to day equipment.

NJ--- He wouldn't get that from me on e-bay  e-bay is like any other auction I have been to, people seem to have more money than common sense, on top of all that you get to pay for shipping.

Bro in law called today, the guy called him and said if I'll go $85, its mine. Supposed to be dropped off this week :)
