084/088 coil

Depending on the price you may have to wait 3 to 4 months for the check to clear. I'm just blown smoke Jon. The coil is not for a work saw it's for the 088KD racesaw,it would be worth going thu all that laber. But no rush. Seth

I believe the 088 has a different flywheel and coil than the 084. The early 084s were governed, the 088 has a far superior flywheel and coil, no governing. You might try madsens1.com for a good used coil.

Howdy- your 088 coil has the part # 1124 400 1309, for the polymer flywheel.

I should have used the correct term(ignition module),the ignition module doesn't care what the flwheel is composed of. So I am looking for a new or good used module for a later model 084/088.

Seth, just a thought, but could you tig two 044 coils together, run them in series, since 044 + 044 = 088?
I'm not as dumb as I look you know.
