Well cbfarmall and I got my 084 running real nice. The question is what is the intial adjustment for the carb. I replaced the HT7a that was on it with a HT2b. My service manual only lists the HT1a as the adjustable carb and it lists the HT2a as the fixed jet. My parts list lists the HT7a as the factory carb, but doesn't tell me for sure that it is the fixed jet model.
Is a tillotson HT2b a fixed jet carb for the High speed screw. If so is the correct intial setting : H=0, L=1.25.
We had it set at around : H=.6, L=1 after working on it yesterday. I reset it to H=1, L=1 this morning after just as a precaution until I found out what the factory setting is for this carb. I don't want to ruin the new piston and cylinder for no reason.
Any help would be appreciated
