Guys quick answer please.

Can I put an 08S cylinder and piston onto a TS 360 concrete saw?

I know that the 08S and the TS 350 are very similar, but will these parts fit a 360?

Thanks,

Dan

I'm pretty sure they match up. There are two sizes though - 47 and 49mm... think the mount hole are the same though.

Yep, I agree, I think the 08S and the 350 are usually a 47 mm, whereas the 360 is usually a 49 mm. I really only need a piston and rings for the 360's 49 mm cylinder, but I've found it hard as hell to find them. I've resigned myself to replacing it all with the smaller option, but I'm glad you've confirmed what I thought would be okay.

Pistons and rings are available new. If you get a second hand piston, you still need new rings. Very few used pistons for cuttoff saws are worth puting in as the skirts are worn buy the dust. Often it's hard to tell as they are polished rather than scored. Best way is to measure them. More than 4 thou taper is not worth it. Tecomec has an aftermarket piston for the 360.

Just noticed you are in the UK. If you have a problem finding the 49mm pisiton, contact me and I'll put you with someone who can send you one.

Hi,

I checked my Tecomec catalogue and now realise that the 08 is the same for the TS 350 (47mm) and that the 08S is the same as the TS 360 (49mm)

Pity really, I missed out on a cylinder and piston for the 08S earlier on Ebay.

I'm bidding on another just piston and rings at the moment, but I'd appreciate your contact anyway. I don't have any good contacts here in the UK for parts other than Stihl & Husqvarna dealers.
