lakeside,i'm going to see how it works in wood first.it's useless to me if she hasn't run through some wood.been taken apart to the last bolt and put back together again.just have to try her out.

Ha! Reminds me of a vintage airplane my wife restored over several years... a
1931 Pietenpol Air Camper. It was taken down to a zillion parts, restored and put back to full airworthiness and flying status, but the Smithsonian REALLY didn't want us to fly it... apparently there is a high incidence of crash and burn "first time out" on old rare planes. Screw it, too much work to NOT see it fly... It was flown - 10 feet of the ground, no turns, for the length of a 10,500 foot runway, then hung in the "Museum of the Rockies" for all to see (ignore) forever...

Go make chips fly with that baby!

Thats probably the finest 090 I have seen.
Would you mind if I asked how much you had to put into it?
The only reason I ask is that I want to have some idea what I have to look forward to. Cause I gotta have me one o' them.
I suspect she'll perform as well as she looks.

smithie 55-i made sure i didn't pay too:) much for the parts saw as the guts were what i was interested in,not how it looked.with decent insides bought for cheap(around $400),i started looking for deals on the outer parts.you'd be surprised at the deals that come by when you're not in a rush.when i got close to competion,i took a kick to the n#ts and got the rest from stihl.i figure total about $1500 once the saw was finished.i would have waited longer and something on ebay would have come up,but i got too exited,i just wanted to see the saw finished.happened to take about $600 at a poker game one night which made the decision easier

Try her out! Let us know what you think. I wish I had the opportunity to run a 090. What a beast!:biggrinbounce2:
