Howdy guys, I was wondering if anybody is using 1/4" pitch in their trim saws? If so how do you like it? Thanks

That would be a very uncommon use. Pretty much the only folks that use that stuff are the wood carvers. I guess the quality of the cut is what is most appealing to them, as you might imagine.

Tree trimmers are usually more concerned with speed of cut and ease/economy of use. 1/4" pitch chain is not an improvement in either of these areas.

About 20 years ago, I bought a bunch of chain as part of my attempt at doing small engine repair business. I still have a small section of the original 25 foot roll of 1/4" pitch chain! This stuff has VERY low use in the tree trimming market.
