Hi All,

Thought I would post some pics for you Mac fans. Put this saw together from two dead parts saws. Runs great. First Mac I have worked on. I am quite impressed with this saw.:biggrinbounce2:

Nice job... I'm not a mac "fan" but I sure do respect the robustness and reliability of that era... I've fixed a bunch of 10-10, pro-6o etc.. Nice, expect for the recoils..

Love you in red!! just never have bonded with a homie... Wow, 90wt... it's true, an elephant never forgets ( :D ). Did own a mac 610 for a LONG time, (too long), has real nice Mac 15, now have a 250... Maybe it's all in the yellow.. Hey, I do have a 775G, but only part of it is red. Does that count?.

10 10

they and there cousins were a nice saw. i just got a 2-10:buttkick:

Made some cuts with the saw, runs fine. Any idea of the recommended operating RPM of this saw. I have the saw tuned to 4 stroke at WOT. It 4 strokes in small wood and smooths out in bigger wood. The chain speed still seems quite high for an "older" saw.:chainsaw:

1010

if it is a late 1010 s it turns 9500 per the book use a digital tach:rock: :buttkick: :jawdrop:

I picked up a 10-10 at my local stihl dealer that was a trade in. The former owner thought it was siezed. My service guy let me have it for a few bucks. Turns out all it was was the chain being rusted to the bar. After a new 20" bar and 3/8 chisel chain all it took was fresh mix to fire it up. I have been impressed with it ever since. Pulls the 20 incher no prob and i'm always impressed with the power in a relativley small package. I haven't had a problem with the recoil yet, and it's been three years now. (knock on wood):D
