1230 vermeer

I will be looking at 1997 1230 vermeer 4 cyl industreal ford gas. Says it only has 750 hrs on it. Is this a good machine, what is it worth in good shape. I think I can pick it up at a very good price. I did a search on 1230 vermeer, there is not much info here.
Help me out with some info.

The last machine I had was a Vermeer 1250, I don't know the difference between that and a 1230. It had a Perkins 80HP Diesel, auto feed which I think is a must and curb side feature whichs lets you swivel machine about 45 degres toward curb. I would never buy another gas machine as there is a lot more power with the diesel. I had a Morbark once with a Hercules 4cyl. gas and didn't have enough power. Their are a lot of good used 1250 Diesel out there for sale. Just my ideas, Good Luck
