I need to know what kind of price to expect as fair for this truck. It has an well made 11' dump steal bed with fold down sides from an army truck. Most every thing looks well put together and in good to very good shape. Most all seams to wrk well. The boom extends to 21',no grapple or accessory, just a hook. Was an propane gas company truck but has been converted to the dump bed. About 165,000 miles but it looks and seems to work good.
The owner said the crane was made by a German company called Happ, and lifts 2000lbs extended and about 6000 near the truck. Some of the hydrolic lines look new , a few might best be replaced soon. Average old engine takes just a little oil and minor powersteering fluid leaks.
Any information about the truck and , or boom would be much appreciated.

Hard to say. I was looking at an '81 L-9000 with 36' reach and a 3208 Cat. for $6500. It was in pretty good shape.

I wouldn't expect any more than $7-9k for that.

Happ? never heard of it. Parts available?

I never heard of Happ or could I find anything on the internet.
Comparing it to ebay prices I saw some newer better looking stuff in that price range mounted on slightly smaller trucks.
With what I expect for oprating expenses and the amount of work I'd likely get the first year for it, I don't think I best spend that much on this truck. He was asking 7500, on craiglist.
Thanks for the replies...
