This machine is like new, literally. Has 305 original hours and is a one owner, fully documented unit. What would you guys pay? Has to be a cash deal no financing. Asking price is $18.5k With winter around the corner, and things cooling off a bit, do you think an offer of $16k is reasonable?

I think so you try that machine and you will want it, I have one is it a john Deere engine? i find the hours hard to believe .

Its legit. Being sold by a big company that originaly purchased it new. They don't need the hassle of fudging hour meters and getting sued, plus, the service history is all there. It looks to be maybe 6 months old LOL.

So 18.5 is a deal? I was thinking 12 YO machine going into winter, no possible chance of getting it financed ie, has to be cash sale 16-17 cash would be reasonable.

Go try it first make sure it works good then start low and go higher slowly. BTW that is one heavy SOB what truck you pulling with?

Right now I have a 33Kgvw 97 line truck with a 366 gas, a gas one ton, and a 74 56Kgvw gmc log loader with a detroit d. I have a bandit 150, but I swore to myself I'd have an 18 by spring. Trucks to pull are easier to find than a good low hour chipper in my price range. I really want this to work out LOL. What's it weight anyhow, 7-8K? It's on a single axel..

BTW, it has a hydro pintle hitch jack too, no more cranking to level it :)

I have a 1890 bandit. For those who don't know it is a drum chipper. It is a 2001 year model. JUNK JUNK JUNK! I did have a 280 xp bandit HD and it was a disk. You can't compare a disk to a drum but the 280 was a night and day comparison. To make this short, Brush Bandit does not have a few of the patents on the drum chipper design so they just didn't (and as much as I can tell), don't have the best technology. I would never buy a Brush Bandit drum chipper. First, logs get caught in the infeed area (opening is wider than blade area) also, the blades don't over lap on the drum face so as the drum turns there are areas on the face that NEVER have a blade to chip the wood, a sorry design.

Wow , I have an 1890 HD and been running it for years, only problems the frame cracked from all the weight 11,000 lb machine, but it was welded.
