I just picked a up a "lightly" used homelite VI Super 2 16" chainsaw for 20 bucks at a yardsale. I have yet to fire the saw but it had good compression and spark so I figure it will run fine. It came with a new chain so it was a deal.
Question...
I pulled the engine from the case for inspection of the fuel lines, ect ect and noticed an extra hole near the gas cap that is open to the air. I figure this is a tank vent that at one time either had a one way valve or a line running from the tank. There has to be somthing there because the hole is almost the diameter of small fuel tubing. Any explanation of that hole???
I know this saw is old but what are the chances of finding a new chain tensioner?? This is one missing.
Thanks
