I may be in trouble here, my youngest son, Joshua who will turn 2 the end of next month seems to be addicted to chainsaws, every time he comes out to the shop, sees a picture of a saw in a magazine, or in someone's avatar here on the board, he makes this BZZZZZ BZZZZZ sound, he doesn't talk yet, and it took me a minute to figure out what he was talking about, then I saw him trying to cut the legs off of the table with his toy chainsaw while making the BZZZZ BZZZZ sound. Then, last night, I grabbed my 041 and held it and let him squeeze the throttle, he jumped in the air, screamed like a little girl, turned a bunch of circles while clapping his hands and making the BZZZ sound.

I'm seeing a Stihl in his future. :greenchainsaw:

At least your starting him off right with a Stihl...

Keep him away from Husqvarnas and Dolmars or he will be wearin' a skirt to school...:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

My son has been fascinated with chainsaws since he could crawl....Even today at nealy eight,he'll walk up to one and either pick it up and study it imensely,or start pulling the starter cord,I think he likes to hear the engine turn over....Anything with an engine....He's one of the most mechanically talented people I've ever seen to be so young.A couple of days ago,he put a chain on my 346 for me,and he didn't even put it on backwards.

Awwwwwwwwwwww nice post there. I can relate somewhat. Yesterday I was leaning in the shop door looking out across the parking lot. My daughter pulls in and out the car comes my grandson. He'll be two in June. He comes walking across the parking lot with her and see's me and starts grinning. I take him in the shop and let him browse around. He goes back in the storage room and stares at all the new Stihl stock. He's touching the weedtrimmers hanging on the wall and the saws sitting on the rack and the whole time he never stopped grinning. I finally said boy you aint got no money so your gonna have to get out of here. He busts out laffing. He knows hims grandpaw well..........

Kids are fun, my 4 year old is every bit as addicted as Josh is, he put the chain on my poulan awhile back while we were cleaning saws on his mom's table!!.....that always makes her happy, we like to smell pre-mix in the house, she does not....at least I was nice enough to put down newspaper! My 6 year old can take them or leave them, it all depends on the day, he's starting to get kinda independent.

My two year old little girl loves cuts signature to. Every time she sees it she says "kanesaw!" then when he starts cutting she says "uh oh" and then she says "ohhh tree fell on it!" It's the funniest thing I've been wanting to video it and send it to cut. And you’re right it’s like the first time she’s seen it every time. She loves all the smileys too she can pick them out from across the room. She especially likes this :buttkick: one she always says "ohh knock it over" my wife thinks we're horrible.

My grandson started with lawnmowers

Anything with wheels that could be pushed would suffice. We have a baby buggy that he has pushed for hours. He had a whole routine to go through, checking the oil and the gas and then giving her a couple of pulls on the fake rope. Somehow it never started on the first pull. He's going to be four next Saturday and grampa got him a toy Stihl saw. Cost nearly as much as one of my used Shindaiwa's. Guess its worth more 'cos it's a Stihl. Him and his two year old brother are always willing to help with the wood chopping. They each have a croquet mallet and I get a work out setting up wood for them to knock over. Hope I can keep em interested when they get old enough to do some real work.
