2001 Vermeer BC 1230A Original Cost?

I am looking into buying a used BC 1230A with 600 hours. I know there are better brand chippers out but the Vermeer distributorship is just 40 miles away, thus my decision to go with Vermeer. The reason I am buying a machine is to clear my property which is about 30 acres. Later the machine will be sold.

I am seeing prices for used machines all over the map. Can anyone tell me what the BC 1230A original cost was around year model 2001?

a used 2001 1230 A would HIGH retail around 7500 bucks . there a verry UNdesirable chipper cause of the horrible designed feed system. you would be much better off buying a brush bandit , i know there may not be a dealer close to your location but who needs a dealer with a machine that wont break !
