After so many years of drulling I finally got ASV RC100.
Today it is run under Terex PT100.
As attachment I got this power hungry "Forestry Mulching" head. Made by Fecon. The model is BH72SS.
I'd like to pull bit more Hp of current engine. I think it is possible.
Any ideas?
Engine is 1104C-44T also known as Cat C4.4. Turbo version, no intercooller.

That is all you'll ever get out of an RC100... Barring you play with fhe injector pump. Which is a job for a pro mechanic. You don't meed more power. You need more hydraulic flow. Is your RC100 a high flow model? If not, you're kind of SOL there too. You either need the low flow mulcher head or you need a different machine. My Cat 287C XPS hi-flow is fantastic for running my FAE head. The old ASV RC100 has had some serious changes since it was the RC100 too. The new PT100 is a far better machine with mulchers than the old RC100z

I am pro mechanic by trade

Power = flow x pressure
I need more power. POWERRRRR

Yes, hi-flow. According to last check it is 37Gpm with 3,750 Psi

I was looking for PT110. Just cant justify cost. Mulching is not my business line, just supplemental services.

Thanks for post.

I'm not saying that this will achieve a good result, but I know a few guys who have complained about the small Cat engines have turned up the injector pumps a bit and they gained a lot of oomph.

But here's the thing. In these machines, the hydraulic pumps will only gain flow as you gain horsepower for X horsepower growth. There's a reason the newer models have higher capacity hydraulic pumps., and the RC100's pump, if I remember correctly, was making about as much as it could make. But that's just my two cents. My primary realm is heavy equipment, and I'm a mechanic as well.

Bring that Delphi DP210 injection pump to a fuel shop and tell them what you want. 37gpm x 3750psi is 97 of the 100 hp you already have. Will the pump flow a higher rate at the same rpm? Or are you going to turn up the rpm? Good luck. The cooling system is barely enough as it is.
