What is a fair price for a 1997 2095 jonsered 36" bar. Saw has seen very little use. I have used the saw to drop about 6 tree's. The owner wants to sell the saw, I was wanting any info you all have on this saw model. How it compairs to other saws in it's class, as to power, price, and parts. The saw runs very well and seems to have plenty of power. Thanks
Dave

The Jonsered 2095 Turbo model is 93.6cc or 5.7CID and rated at 7.1 HP Tillotson HS 265A carb, gear driven auto oiler, 17.6LBS and has a 30.4 Fl Oz fuel tank. I will give more specific details if you want, just ask me.

Was looking for a value to this saw is it a quality product, and how it compairs to other saws, I need a good felling saw and was looking at purchasing this saw. Looking for any info from anyone who has used or owned one of these saws. Thanks
Dave

I've never personally owned one of these saws but I can tell you that new they retail for $900+ USD. The quality of a Jonsered is equal to a Stihl or Husky of the same size. It is an all around good machine for most tasks that can be thrown at it. Believe me these are top notch saws for your money, How much is the one youa are looking at? I would say about $450-600 would be pretty fair price for this saw in good shape with low hours on it.

Unless it is mint with good chains (plural) I probably wouldn't pay that much. I bought my 18 month old stihl 066 used with (2) 36" bars and (1) 24" bar for $450 and it came with (7) chains. I would think fair for a seven year old Jonsered would be around the same. Even if it was lightly used (every saw I've seen for sale was lightly used);) it is still a seven year old saw. Most items don't retain half their purchase price after seven years, especially equipment.

My $.02

Some do not like the ergonomics of the 2095 for felling. That probably depends on what you are used to and your expectations. It is a powerful and reliable saw. I have only one out, and it is being used for bucking, and as backup.

They seem to like the newer 2186s much better for all around. 2186s go for 740 locally.
