I just recently picked up two 242XP project saws and about half of another for parts. One of the 242XP cases was ruined but a 242 case was included. I rebuilt the bad 242XP on the 242 case. Both saws are running well. I put one of them in the wood last night. The chain is an out of the box Carlton. It did not feel very sharp or aggressive at all. It could use some work. Reguardless, here's a video of it in the wood. It's tuned to 15,000 WOT coming out of the cut.

I'm looking for a few parts to finish these projects up. If anyone has any of the following, please PM me.

  1. Brake Handle. Fits the 42, 51, 55, 242, 246, and 254.
  2. OR a Complete bar cover with handle. My cover has a chunk out of it.
  3. Chain catcher.
  4. Clutch spring x 2. These are the older style that use one round continuous spring.

I sent you a PM yesterday. Didn't he have a clutch cover and handle, or didn't you check?
