I have an 25" ES bar (P/N 3003 000 9630) that came with a 13 tooth sprocket, which is shot. From my search, I understand that there is a 10 tooth version and a 13 tooth version of the nose. Will a 10 tooth sprocket nose fit on my bar? I wasn't sure if they were interchangeable or not. If so, what is the part number for the 10 tooth version (I don't do much bore cutting)? If not, what is the P/N for the 13 tooth version? Thanks...

well.... the info is confusing... the -9630 is listed as a 20 inch bar... and the matching 13 tooth sprocket is part number 3003 650 2539.

In any case, the 11 tooth sprocket that SHOULD fit is 3003 650 2551.

Wack. Here's a picture. Looks like I got the first digit wrong in my first post. Clearly, this bar is 25". Odd that the P/Ns are not jibing...

Your numbers are correct. I'll have to research it further. The stihl dealer manual must be wrong and likely why you got the wrong part from CSP.

Or you can just buy the 13 tooth and be done with it.

From your past posts, the 10 tooth should, in theory, have a little less kickback than the 13 tooth version (if the 10 toother fits this bar). That said, I'd be fine with a 13 tooth, but I don't know it's P/N, so I'm still at a loss with what specifically to look for... ;)

I don't list a 10 for that bar type. You are likely stuck with a 13 as it's a broad bar specifically designed for boring. Personally, I like them and don't notice any real kickback issues over a "normal" bar.

You might have missed the 13 part number in the post above - it's 3003 650 2539

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I wasn't sure if that P/N was only for the 20" bar. Perhaps just a misprint.

I'll call my dealer tomorrow and see what he comes up with and if it matches the 2539 number, I'll feel more confident that the right part will be ordered... I'd rep you (again), but AS tells me that I don't spread the love enough...
