Well I breaking down and selling my 3120KD hotsaw. This is a full race saw and has never cut through a piece of bark. My best time is 3.4 sec from a dead start through 8x8 of Poplar (with my back up chain, I crashed my good chain the night before). The reason for selling, I need the money towards a bigger race saw for this next season.
Things to know about this saw:
Runs on 110/ nitro/ Synthetic oil
Carries 13 to 13.5K in the cut.
This saw has consistaintly placed in the top 10 at the shows (17 shows last year) I go to and that is running against Rotax's and other motor cycle saws.
What is nice is I have done all the set up work for this saw you just need to put in the fuel and oil. I keep the saw neat and clean and ready to run. I have invested over $3K in the development and tuning of this saw. Please if you are interested please let me know. Sorry Ken but I need a bigger saw to run if I want to make it to Stihl.

Thanks,
Chris

Here is a pic of the saw. The blue cap has been removed because the fuel ate up th O ring weekly. Also, The pipe was upgraded to a 125 High Rev Shifter Pipe.

The 3.4 sec run breaks down to 1.1 sec. (hands from wood , start the saw, hit the wood with the saw) That leaves 2.3 sec. for the three cuts and change overs (about .65 per cut, .15 for change over). I would expect to run about 4.5 to just under 5 sec in a 10x10 of pine or poplar from a cold start. Harder wood is going to be slower. This is a good saw for racing with. It is forgiving in that it runs on 110 fuel with nitro mixed in. Alky is not a good fuel for those just getting into the racing. Alky is a very high maintance fuel in that it eats up the seals. The race mix an easy mix and is avalible at just about every cycle/ snowmobile shop. The saw was built by Ken Dunn then last winter I droped more $$ into the saw and Ken made some updates to the carb/ pipe/ jug. I finished off with some fine tuning of the carb and pipe then re worked the jug abit to accomidate the high flows that we achived with the other updates.

Thanks,
Chris

I may see you at John's tomorrow and we can discuss
Thanks

Here is the video John took of my saw running through the rock hard Basswood. 11" ? The saw would of been faster if it did not have the Poplar/ White pine set up on it.

I am going to up the anti on the Hotsaw a bit. I'm going to toss in nitro, oil and fuel, enough to make 2 gal. of race fuel. this should get most anyone through most of the racing season.

Thanks,
Chris

To answer the question emailed to me. I do have a ported muffler for the saw done by KD and a top cover (Needs a hold down braket). And yes I will consider a offer for all or just part of the stuff I have for the saw.

Top cover, Small and large wood set ups, ported muffler, nitro and oil mix, If you are close I do have a supply of 110 also.

Thanks,
Chris

I still have the saw and the season is soon to be here. I will have the saw down to Dan's in a few weeks for the get together.
