Hey gentlemen, I picked up another 335xpt on ebay, had a busted rear and during disassembly I found the innards just totally caked!!. Well I tor the oil soaked intake tube when i rocked the engine out of the side, so I replaced it and got her running again. My dilemma is that it has a SERIOUS lag on acceleration. I tuned the carb and it improved, but it is still pretty bad. My thoughts are to do a vacuum check on the crankcase and look for an air leak. Any suggestions from anyone? Oh BTW, squirt the throttle a few times and get her up to speed and at high RPM's it seems fine, but I fear its leaning out.

the rubber from the carb to engine is pretty notorious for splitting on them .i would check that.

I've already installed a new intake tube and was very careful with it during installation (PITA bad design on husky's part IMO). I'll check the fuel filter and pump but I dont believe that i the case, as when I get her revved up and into some wood she stays there just fine. Thanks for the advice.

you could pump up the pressure and watch the pressure drop on a guage and squirt soap over different spots that have bubbles for you to see (if any )

that of 'course will help with any air-leak issues diagnosis:biggrinbounce2:
