Other than displacement, what is the major diference between these two? I know the 346 turns faster, but does it have as much torque? I believe the 353 has a magnesium crank. What else does the 346 have over the 353 that denotes it as a pro saw?

Has anyone done/have a woods mod on a 353? If so what are the results.

Thanks,
Doug

Both have magnesium crankcases, not crank! I think the 353, as all the small Huskys but the 346, is lacking the more advanced quad transfer ports. While it has about 7 more cc, it rates the same power at lower rpm. Nevere used one, but I think it may have a broader torque band, making it easier to use, and maybe more tolerant of a slightly dull chain.
