353 Non Cat. Muffler From Bailey's

I ordered a non cat./ muffler for my 353 from Bailey's. I had trouble finding one from my local dealer, but Grande Dog knew exaclty what I needed and told me Baileys could get it. I orded it and they did not have it in stock. They ordered it and I had it in less than a week. They shipped it yesterday and I got it today. My saw now runs richer (I was having trouble with it running lean and hot) and cooler and was exaclty what I wanted. Big thumbs up to Bailey's and esp. Grande Dog. Way to go Bailey's

Bailey's rocks!
Yeah, they are awesome huh? Enough can't be said about the service Grande Dog does for the company. How cool is it to be able to talk to a mechanic who really will spend the time answering your questions. Try that at a local dealer. I bought a chain saw grinder and some other things from them and the shipping is always lightening fast and cust. service just can't be beat. Great co.

I wanted to change my 372 over to the big filter and went to my local dealer where I'd bought the saw and ask him about it. He immediately replied - don't know if it can be done and if so your looking at big money. He looked at the schematic and started listing parts, including a new carb! I didn't think that sounded right. (full of sh*t) So, when I got home I called Bailey's. 10 minutes later and about $50 the parts were on their way. You know I try to support local business, but I can guarantee I'll never spend another dollar in his shop.

That is really a shame. My dealer could not find the right part either. He said the number had changed many times and when the muffler came, it probaly would be the CAT muffler anyway. Bailey's had no problem finding me what I wanted. What a shame that these little local dealers are so out of touch. I would be surpised if one of them knew that this sight even existed and they make their living selling saws. Kudos to Bailey's!!!

I just purchased a Husky 359. Does anyone know how much of a difference a non-cat muffler would make on the e-tech? Is it worth the money? I did a search and it seems that the cat mufflers are a pain to mod! Any ideas!

My non cat muffler was only about 27.00 plus shipping. I wanted mine because from what I read it will allow the saw to run cooler. The cat guts inside the muffler store up too much heat and cause the saw to run to hot. Mine new one is on the saw and seems to work well. The saw is a bit louder, hense it must be breathing a bit better I would think.
