Thanks too all who helped me and my 359 headache, got the newer carb tonight and installed it pronto. Saw runs excellent. Sorry Lou you missed out but i'm to stupid to quit. "Thanks Thall", your "right as always," Never give up!! I have a great 359 which i traded a good running 028 for because i like a challenge ( Meds has something to do with it as well. ) Anyway, great site wonderful folk, keep-up the advice and opinions.;)

Glad to hear you got that Husky perking coffee for ya now. Just goes to prove a kit will not always fix a bad carb. Sometimes they do but sometimes they don't. When in doult throw it out I always say. Good to hear your all smiles now. As I told you patience conquers all and you conquered that problem with the saw, good for you..............

I get a bit snippy at times. Stihl has a problem and people ask for help. Husky with a problem and people question the marital status of its parents. I don't understand why it happens but it do. Maybe the Husky is held to a higher standard.

I would say I try to help a Husky man just as much as a Stihl man if I can. One thing ya gotta remember Lou whats written on this site doesn't always reflect how the writer really is or sounds through what he writes. Had a guy call me a grumpy ole man in another thread cause I was giving him a fit. What he didn't see through all the words was I was grinning and smiling the whole time. Him coming back at me made me admire him even more. So when it appears someone is beating a brand of saw to death look close between the lines and see if he really is or whether he's just having alittle fun at the expense of another's problem. Though it's not nice or fair we all do it at times but I don't think any of us really wish any bad luck on anyone regardless of what brand of saw they choose to own and use..

Not you Thall or any of the mechanics. Usually the saw owner. Perhaps they planned on purchasing low end Stihl and were persuaded to buy Husky instead. But they RANT when a problem encountered.

(assumes lotus position) Ohm, Ohm

Forgive me, Tom or do you prefer Tommy?

Call me anything cept late for supper Lou, I'm not picky as long as I'm not hungry,LOL Call me Grumpy if ya like,LOLOLOL

I do see alot of posts where someone will ask about a certain model Stihl they are considering buying and the Husky boys jump in and say try a Husky so and so, you'll like it better, blah blah blah. Same goes when its a Husky being considered, we Stihl guys watch and wait for a opening to swoop down on the poor man and turn him Stihl, both camps do it alot. Far as problems go its very fustrating for many when they have tried everything and the saw still doesn't run right. Sometime its gets to the point of them hollering Stihl is a POS or Husky is a POS depending on what brand they are having issues with. Doing so always tells me they merely do no know what is wrong, nothing more, the venting is frustration. I say cooler heads always prevail and its funny after the saw is fixed everything is once again cool, might say such is life Lou. Does make things interesting ya gotta admit...

My blood runs green tempered by quality. I don't care who makes it but I expect it to do its job for a long time at the lowest initial outlay. I also expect the manufacturer to supply needed parts far into the future. I think Husky and Stihl both qualify. I'm not sure how long Echo will be a player due to loss of dealer service (box stores).

Just the other day my buddy noticed the Stihl gloves in the Husky chainsaw case. He said, "I didn't think you could run a Husky wearing Stihl gloves".

The main thing to remember is that there is absolutely no model of any brand of chainsaw that has a zero percent failure rate. It might only be one per million, but visit this site often and you'll find at least one unhappy owner.

One major difference tho. The Stihl guys are right!

The Stihl gloves we get here are POS, compared to the Husky and Jred ones...........:D :ices_rofl:

Stihl here in sweden sells a pair "gore tex like" gloves that I'm going to try in the fall, the persons that have used them has been happy with them, just got to find some Husky stickers for my pair before I buy them :D

Lou. I'm not partial to any brand either. I do some backyard mechanic stuff for low cost to help out those who otherwise cannot afford it. I gave up my other life of medicine after a bad injury and its kinda ironic how i choose to go from one helping ( people) career to another. I guess i just care bout the little guy. "This site is great," alot of us here do not have the experience some do, especially on different brands they have today and like Thall puts it, yes we kid the guys and gals and poke abit of fun, "but", when the day is done i'm sure anyone here "will," go out of their way to help out. Too bad some people either can't take a joke or some ribbing, or give it back "all in fun"!
