I read this in an Ebay auction description:
Stihl MS 360 PRO with a scored piston/cylinder. I am original owner, and I scored the jug by accident using old Stabil. I tried a rebuild using the Stens/Tecomec jug assembly. The cylinder was advertised by Stens as being an OEM replacement for 034,036 and MS 360 PRO. After two scored jugs within 3 seconds each time, Stens is now saying that it was miss-advertised and does not fit the 360 (something about a millimeter difference in the crank of the 360 PRO vs. the 036). I got a refund and am giving up on rebuild. The saw has the Stens jug on it, it cranks and runs for a second and then dies. Included in the sale is the original cylinder assembly with piston. <...>
Ever hear of this? 036 and 360 have different P&C? And how would a mismatch cause scoring? I don't get it.
