I was just wondering out loud. The DN is fine. I've been hankering for a faster saw and since the buyer for my boat backed out, I've been looking for a less expensive route. I had considered selling my DN cylinder and getting a new one done up with a little more radical porting. It's all up in the air right now.

Anyone wanna buy my boat? Daddy needs a new hotrod chainsaw.:chainsawguy:

Buy a Partner 5000 Plus or a Jonsered 490 - they go fast, and you can buy about 2 of them for what you could buy a OEM 361 piston and cylinder for.

You ought to just keep your 361 for firewood.

All I am saying is - if the 361 isn't broke, don't brake it. The 5000 or 490 is a much more cost effective way to get into a fast saw. $600 for a 361, plus port work, plus extra cylinder plus - it all adds up. A cool Ben Franklin and you got yourself a decent race saw platform!
