Has anybody ever ran the 362XP? Bailey or XXXX.com don't sell them. Are they a new model? I was looking on the husqvarna site and this thing has 3.8 c.u., pump's out 4.6hp and weigh's only 13 pounds.

The 362xp, 365 365 special and the 372xp are all built on the same chassis and they all weigh within 1/10 of a pound.

They made the 362 two differant times. The old ones had the small husky mount bar. The new version uses the same large mount as all the bigger husky's.

We don't know how much longer these saws will be around because of EPA. Get the 372xp and don't look back. Baileys still has some left in stock, for now...

Well im undecided between the 362XP, 365XP and 372XP. I think im leaning more towards the 365 cuz i need a saw a lil smaller than my ms 440 for the smaller stuff. I like the 372, but i already have a big saw. I wish stihl made a saw a little bit bigger than the 361, that is a pro series saw. Im afraid i won't be happy with ms 361, thats why im going with the 365 or the 362. What do you guys think?

The public opinion is that 365xp aint worth it, just get the 372xp and be happy

yea, i don't think its the 365 XP. I would get the 372XP, but i don't need another saw with that much power and it weight's alot more than what im looking for. I think it gonna either be a 362 XP or a 365. How are the Jonsered saws?

No point in getting the 362xp or 365 - they perform the same max power, and the same max torque, as the more than a pound lighter MS361 here, and the US 361s are just a tad shy of ours.....

There was never a 365 xp. There was a 365 and a 365 special.

I have owned all of these at one point in time. They all weigh the same. Don't let the false husky specs lie to you. There is no difference between a 362 and 372 in terms of weight. If you get the 362, you are getting a saw that weighs as much as the 372 with a whole lot less power.....

Even the 362 will be heavier than your 044.....

The 362xp is nice saw, but being that it is on the same frame as the 372 and weighs the same, it is certainly a let down if you have ever run a 372. For a saw that does comply with the new epa regs it does cut pretty nice.

362xpg

I have a 362xpg.I love it.I did a muffler mod on it and it screams.I also put a 8 tooth sprocket on it it and it does not bog down in 20" oak.I also have a 372 xp.They both seem to cut the same.I'm running 20" bars on both. For some reason the 362xpg seems lighter.I'll put them on the digital scale later and get back to you.I would buy the cheaper of the two.But I love them both! The heated handles are great!I have bad circulation in my hands, and this helps a lot.My hands get cold at 40 degrees.

I may feel that way, as the differences isn't large.....

....but there should be a measurable differene, acc. to Husky the 362xp and 365 are .1 kg lighter than the 372xp.
Acc. to the independent test reports I have read, the real difference is more like 1/2 pound, varying between .2 and .3 kg in the different reports.......

They all weight more than Husky states.

362XP's are good saws, just kind of like a junior 372XP. But like a lot of guys point out, why not get the one with the better cylinder. You know, if you look up cylinder kits for the 362/365/372, they are all priced within $5 of each other.

As to how long they will be around, the answer is not very. They were already on a closeout sheet that was faxed out over a month ago. And yes, the EPA is the reason.

I already have a new MS 440, i need a good mid-size sawfor the littler stuff.

Then get a MS361, no reason to mess with the Huskys in that class, unless you can get hold of a good used 262xp.....:rockn: :ices_rofl:
