Just wondering if any members have any experience with using a crankshaft out of a 371K in a 372. Was wondering because the 371K crank if open from the crankcase to the clutch bearing versus the 372 crankshaft being open from the clutch end to the bearing. (when pressure/vaccum testing a 371K I need to pull the clutch and plug the hole to get a reading, where as on a 372 this is not needed as the hole runs in the opposite direction. MY inital plans are to drill the crankshaft from the clutch side then seal it up right after the hole for the clutch bearing........but seeing as 371/375/3120K's run as they are how would thie relate to a saw if at all. This is what happens when i'm playing with parts and the wife is gone shopping!

Have the 371K with the crankcase open lube port in my "new" 365. Works fine, not showing any characteristics of a pressure or vaccum leak, holds vaccum and pressure within allowable limits, so without cutting my new crankshaft all i can figure is that the passage is very small. It wont hold vaccum or pressure overnight (yes i am finicky), but I am going to run it in the bush this weekend and will report back. There are more 371/375K crankshafts out there available for nothing its amazing.

Maybe you can supply some info for this fella.

I have used 371/375k cranks in 372xps with no problems. The downside of 371/375cranks is crankshaft wear in the clutch bearing area. K's can have significant amounts of wear.

So im going to bring back a old thread.
I picked up 3-375k concrete saws i was cleaning the crankshafts and noticed to hole on the clutch side that goes to the inside of the crankccase. They in remarkable condition. So i ultra sonic cleaned them and soaked them in acetone for 2 weeks . So im going to fill the hole with JB weld , as much as i can get in it. Its most likely over kill . But since im building 3 saws out of them i want to forget about the hhole. Am i crazy?
