I finally got around to mounting a bar to try the springs from @Duce tonight. This ugly ass low buck saw with mostly new mechanicals is finally complete. The clutch springs were the issue as suspected. I hope some of you get to beat on this beater in East Jordan next weekend. Thanks for the help and banter @brad ruch and @chipper1 .
