Fixed now, got a saw off ebay supposed to be in great shape.
It was in good shape but needed fuel line and carb kit! Fuel line was
real bad and thought the new line would fix lean condition but after
putting on carb still acted weird would die hot and you had to choke
to start. Got kit in her today and runs like new 154 compression and
great power now. I will probably mod it soon as I already have one
I bought from local dealer that I recently modded, and if you get drags
a little low as I often do it does not bog! I just put big bore and muf mod
as I am Leary of opening port with die grinder or dremel until have more
info or know how.

Great to hear that 372 is ready for action. I too am leary about the dremal. I need some cheap saws to learn on first.

Glad you got it going.

How did you know the fuel line was bad and how big a deal was it to replace the line and install the carb kit? Seems like there is some really lousy fuel line around. I'm reading lots of postings about having problems with it. You'd think the chemists would have solved that problem by now.

Where did you get your chainsaw tools? I need to get some but don't know where. The local dealers can order them but it takes who knows how long.

The tools that I used were a coathanger to retrieve
fuel line, A good quality compression tester that I already
had for auto, allen wrench's, screwdrivers, long nose pliers,
and air compressor opt. I emptied tank a lighted the line
and could see holes in it , as I said it was bad some line
can be bad without all the holes. I bought extra line from
dealer to replace other saws as this should be considered
as preventitive maintenance. The hardest part is getting
the new hose in without disassembling and I loosened mounts
to give me enough room to get hose into tank!
