Never run a 385, and won't, especially stock, since a 7900 Dolmar is a bit faster, and weighs much less....essentially the same as a 372.

Modded, the 385/390 really perk up, according to all reports.

The 385 is a good saw - bigger and more powerful than a 372...that should be a given. Don't really know what you are asking - comparing the two would be like comparing apples and oranges. If you are thinking about getting a bigger saw, get the 385 over the 372 since you already have a 441.

Agree, except that I would get the 390xp over the 385xp - and would consider the MS660 as an option.

I don't see why the 372xp is an option, when you have the 441, either   - unless you just want to have more saws............

The 385 is a good workhorse saw. Not a power house imo, but good. I'm planning on having mine modded, just not sure who i want to do it yet.

I had my 385 modded by EHP. It really came alive. It has a ton of torque. Depends on what you are looking for. I would rather tote a 372 all day unless you are cutting big oak or something that requires the grunt of a 385-390-650-660.

With that said firewood is fun to block with a big saw and a small bar :yoyo:

IMO If I am going to step up to the weight of a 385 I would go straight to the 066/660.
The 385 in my area doesnt enjoy the same reputation for reliability that the 372 has.
