390 tank help

Almost done putting it together . Have a brand new oem gas tank . I can only see three screws that go into the av mounts that hold the tank on , that can’t be it . Any of you 390 or 385 guys have a pic or know where the other screws go ? Old tank is long gone and I don’t see any other tapped holes , except for the handle holes . Thanks so much

1 on the left rear spring, 1 on the right rear spring, 1 on the front spring, 2 through the bottom of the wrap handle, 2 into the side from the wrap handle, and 1 in the spring that goes to the side of the cylinder

Ok thanks , that’s what I was seeing as well , I just thought there would be more screws attaching tank to the crankcase. I have a couple of weird screws leftover that I think go somewhere on the flywheel side

If by "wierd" you mean the screws that have no thread on the ends, they screw into the case & pertrude into a recess in the tank to prevent the av mounts being over extended

Ahh yes those are exactly the ones I am talking about . I see what you mean now they just rest in the large circle on the tank . Thanks so much , mystery solved
