Dumb question maybe, but my 395 has a different setup to my 365, how do you get the clutch drum off to replace the rim sprocket? I had a piston stopper in the plug hole, and (gently) tried to undo the nut, all that happened was the the handle on the bar spanner started bending.I didn't want to give it a decent smack in case I bent something else. The manual doesn't cover it, and I don't have access to a rattle gun when I'm in the bush with a blown rim sprocket

mine must've been worn off by then... hehehe. I thought I was going to break something, then it just let go. Watch the knuckles!!!!!!! I did it on top of my tablesaw (the only space in the workshed that I can guarantee is clear--I just have to degrease it and coat it w/WD40 afterwards.

Bar Spanner- chain tool - combination socket/spanner thing that you adjust your chain with- I'm sure you have different names for everything in that hemisphere! thanks for the input, a friend told me he stuffs a couple of folds of starter cord in the plug hole as a piston stopper,or just smacks the ???? outta the spanner with a hammer- not quite the approach I want to take with a two week old saw!!:rockn:

gotcha. I'm new to the site, not saws. I don't have all the vocabulary that some people do. The wrench/tool/thing I have is already bent--its a high-dollar (lol) combination hitch pin for the lawnmower cart. hahaha. I don't think you'll be able to get enough leverage with that wrench. I tried with mine & couldn't budge it, hence the breaker bar. Good luck.

I use an air impact gun at the shop to take mine apart every week for inspection and cleaning. Works like a charm, just remember off is clockwise, you don't want to be hammering like hell in the wrong direction.
