almost to a decision bout a splitter, but i dont thinks you can get a horizontal/vertical with a 4 or 6 way wedge/////right so you can only go horizontal???? cant have it both ways or can you ,and who has this monstosity i really need the vertical alot of the time for some monster stumps being given me,but then again horizontal is my favorite position hey hey minds out of the gutter please any advise would be put through my mellon T.Y.V.M.:ices_rofl:

northern tool has 4 and 6 way wedges that bolt on and slip on bought a slip on for my splitter it works good.

Go look at the Timberwolf website sometime Jerry, lots of ideas there. With what you have been looking at building, you will not have near enough power for a four way! Not being mean, just realistic. I have been spending a lot of time in the garage this week, hope to have a lot done on my splitter and I will post some new pics of it to give you some more ideas.
But now, you can put on a four way and make it go vertical, but it's a PITA and crap will be flying everywhere, vs. being horizontal it all shoots off the back. I actually built a table top on the back of mine to catch the pieces, if anything is too large I can grab it and proccess it again without leaving the operator position.
