I wish they had stuff like that around here. Some book arbs get together to make themselves sound important, do a little CEU study here and there, we even have our own Arborist Assc. that does nothing but take our money! Cant wait till I get out of here, and I bet they cant wait either, they don't like me, as I call them out for what they are.........book arbs. We used to have stuff at the Vermeer Dealer, last time I talked to one of the guest speakers. He asked me "whats the deal with this place, do they not want to learn?"
He would speak on stage and some jack a s s from the crowd would make fun of his "right way" and offer up "his way" It was pretty embarrassing, just to be there.

I was thinking of going. I know NCtree is going on tue. I didnt know about it in time, I would have loved to take the aerial rescue class today.

Are you a Penn-Del chapter member? Sometimes they offer training through out the year on aerial rescue it will also bring down the cost of the symposium. i'm planning on just parking in the garage next door ever since they moved the trade show into downtown the parking situation sucks. I will be at the climbing break out sessions all day.

You must be from a smalltown, do you have a local chapter? Making the move to the big city will be like night and day for ya.

I am not a penn del member. I cant park in the garage at the hotel because it has a max height of 6'2" and my dodge wont fit.

Went to the trade show tonight. Lots of cool toys to look at. Had a real tree setup in the corner for climbing demos. Had a good deal on a new demo 75' altec forestry bucket truck. Show special $125,000. Pretty cool trade show even though it was pretty small. One guy had his collection of antique saws there.
