I bought a 1" Yale Cordage Double Esterlon rope that is 120 ft long and has four inch eyelets on each end. 100 ft of the rope looks brand new the last 20 ft has 1 or 2 of the outer strands broke. So I really have 2 questions Did I overpay? and who could I get to fix one of the eyelets in my area?
Any help would be appreciated.

holy crap dude....what on Earth do you need a 1" line for? That's some beefy stuff! Why don't you just whip the end and cut the bad portion off? Aside from that, check out #############....there are a few good splicers hangin out there. Only problem is shipping something that danged heavy

Good Score!!! Sounds like its off a electrical utility truck with 4" eyes on either end. Just inspect closely and remove bad end and have a splicer put another eye in it if you like.
