I know I've seen them somewhere but can't find any information through searching and it seems a sponsor sold them, anyone running them? Does it just ad one to the clutch cover or are they bigger? I need some. ..

I've found them on several online oem part stores listed with the full wrap handle bars. Come in a kit for around $20, and yes they are oversized and come with inner and outer

l just got a 550xp in the post. Took it out of the box and laughed at its spikes/spike. A little embarrassing for a pro saw. lts not even sharp the points are smooth. l was'nt sure if l should fit it as someone might see it and giggle.lol

I modified the one from my 562 to fit the 550. Just had to elongate the mounting holes a little bit.

Huge spikes for a 50cc saw? I miss the days where you could get just a smooth bumper. Big spikes sure look nice, but have limited application. The number of guys that actually need them are far outnumbered by those who just want to look cool. It doesn't make sense for an oem to out oversized spikes on everything.

I like spikes that I can actually use to hold the saw up when its making felling cuts. The 562 with the large spikes and wrap is a nice small falling saw. If a used one comes up I may have to get it.

Yes you can easily have to large of spikes on any saw but how I use mine it simply needs duals not necessarily larger ones.

Hmmm... everyone says I needs me a 288...

Too late now. I've sold 4 in the last 5 months. I might come up with another one soon. I need to check out a dealer who wants to sell all his leftover stuff from where he moved shops.

East Coast Dawgs did at the beginning come in the box with the 550, up here. 577 88 72-01 for those that might be interested in one.

So Husky is making 2 different dawgs for the 550 to choose from? What is the difference in size? Could you post a picture so we can compare the 2?
Thank you.

Never even noticed it on the IPL. Good catch.
