can any one tell me if the auto tune carb on the 576at will self adjust to porting, polishing and muffler modding.i have done lots of 575's, but don't know what the new carb will do.

too expensive.

get the 385xp for that money and go cut.

why polish? a waste of time in my experience.

it probabbly uses more fuel.

yes but the 385 weighs more viberates more and uses more fuel.
i just wanted to know if it would work or not.

i doubt the rest.

ate you really that worried about a couple of ounces of fuel? good grief!

it must suck to be cheap.sounds like a dollar chasing a dime to me.wait till that strato saw burns up.they are already running lean as hell.parts for 385 are more plentiful and cheaper if you do have a problem.

i picked up a 390xp and a 576xp the other day at the dealer.i couldn't tell a weight difference.

I've cut with both saws all day, many days and the 385 is definitely the heavier one and no where near as smooth. That being said I'd never own a 576, I just don't care for that size saw. I'll take a much lighter 361 AND a much heavier 385 any day of the week. You either get lots of power OR a light saw. The 576/372/441 are too much of one and not enough of the other IMO.

well,i haven't cut with the 576.

i will admit that.i guess if you're not stumping or running big bars the 576 is the way to go.
i'd rather have the 372 the way they are priced around here.Husky prices on some models are getting a little out of hand.i don't want strato saws so i don't think i should have to pay more for something i don't want.

I don't want to buy one I want to know if it is possible to build one for my customers, most of them wont run stock saws,No matter how big or powerfull they always want more!

It's a good firewood saw. I'm not convinced on these strato designs either, FC, but it seems to be the way things are going. I do know that I spent a lot of trigger time on 575's and 6's and they held up as well as any other saw, so maybe they figured out a way to get good performance, lower fuel consumption, pacify the ####ing epa and still make a durable saw. Kinda seems that way but I, like you are still apprehensive.

Oh, and super, you'd have WAY better luck asking this in the chainsaw forum, you'll only find a bunch of cranky, tree climbin' bastads over on this side of the site.
