Looks good. I envy your rails. I think mine weigh about 900 pounds.

That is one reason I went with them. We have another topped off white pine that will be coming down this week and hopefully milled by or on this weekend.

One of the very best first runs I have seen! Nice work would rep you but got to spread it around....

Smokin thanks. Wish I would have been in this before we had the house built because the pine would make for some nice plank flooring.

The rails with the connector set will be in on Monday so I can do some ten footers. I'll cut the logs to length this week and maybe this weekend get back in the woods.

Like smokin would say, pop that top off. Looks like this week we will do that, then take the mini mill to it, with pictures.

We purchased another five foot section of ez rails (with connectors) which I'll put together tonight to go with the nine foot section.

Thanks

I dropped a topped off white pine and milled some boards 1.75 thick, the ez rail system worked well and the Carlton ripping chain I thought did a good job.

A middle support is going in tonight (smokins idea) and the ends are being painted Moday. Attached are som epictures.

Are you a southpaw? Just curious because of the way the saw is mounted to the mill. Cool pics!!

Nice looking pine logs. I did some Ponderosa pine logs for a friend of mine and here are some pictures of how I milled them into 2x4's 6's and 8's.

jerry-

I used my Alaskan style mill I built to cap the logs, and my mini-mill for making a center cut.

Then my mini-mill to create a three sided cant.

I then used my big mill set to the thickness needed for the lumber. In this case we were making dimensional lumber for some repair work on his old cabin.

Lumber we cut.
