Hopefully someone can help, I have a Chainsaw bar 3/8 058 1.5mm "742" made in norway I need to replace the exact bar can someone can help, not sure what the "742" means regards thanks David.

You have a 18 inch bar
3/8
.058
58 dl
Possibly a sandvik, jonsered
Just need to know the mount size, which can be obtained by the make and model of the saw. Hopefully someone else can come along and help.
Thanks for the reply ,the bar/chain is 68dl as I mentioned the bar has been modified from what it originally was to fit on a stihl 08s, but because the oiler lies up, I would like to get an identical new one and do the bar mount modification correctly, regards thanks David

It was probably an Oregon d009 mount to fit 372xp husky and alike. but ground out to fit on 08 Stihl

My Husqvarna 350 bars are made in Norway. I’m not out in shop to look for markings.

Or you could just buy a 3/8 21 inch stihl bar with the large mount and just bolt it straight on. P/N 3002 000 9125.
A decent 08s will pull that. I have a 17 inch 404, no probs at all

David the bar on my 08s is 16inch sprocket tip here is what it says on the bar.
Oregon
18272
1650 1151
3/8
I have saw grease often on sprocket tips but this one says grease hourly
Made in Canada
