920 Jonsered muffler mod

I have a 920 jonsered saw that I would like to put a mill on and need to know if a muffler mod would help?

A 920 is old enough (pre-epa) that there won't be too much to gain from a simple muffler mod.

I concur. A certain ammount of backpressure is needed for best performance from a 2 cycle (A tuned pipe is set up to optimize things) Before the Extremely Pestiferous Asses started interfering, saw manufacturers balanced their exhaust systems for good performance. Mufflers have gotten overly restrictive as a means to effect emmissions in recent years but the saw designs of twenty plus years ago benefit little if at all from opening the outlets.
