The company I work for has just bought a 1994 Vermeer 1250 chipper with close to 5k in hours on it. In my opinion is sucks and I mean a lot, my boss believes that it a "corker" because of the fresh paint and decals, kind of like a car facts commercial. Anyways, we put about 4 hours on it today, rolling into hour 2 the feed wheels would not pull in anything greater than 4 inches and just flat out stops. It does not have a tach but it will not hold oil pressure, guessing, until around 1200 RPMS. Now it won't even go to full RPMS. It clogged on us 4 times today and jammed on us twice. I am guessing the jamming is from the bed knife being out of adjustment. Any solutions to these other problems??? or did my boss just buy a POS?

Thanks,

Tyler

And I wish my boss had listened to what I had been telling him all along. The guy I was working with got his finger crushed yesterday thanks to the vertical feed wheels, all PPE was on, just that the damn thing kicks stuff to the side giving a huge margin for injury. The guy is not stupid either, unlike the other guys that will be running it. I am working on getting him to bring it back.
