Happy New Year.

I have a couple of projects going...

Can anyone tell me what the compression should be on an Echo CS 3000?

Also, what are the basic/factory carb. settings for a Husky 141 with a Walbro carb? How far off the seats should I adjust the settings to get it up and running? I can fine tune it from there.

Thanks for any information.

Is that a big block or small block cs3000? What are the current compression readings and exactly how are you performing the compression test?

Does the 141 have a 2 or 4 barrel carb? Some of the earlier models came with 2 barrels while most of the later were fitted with 4 barrel carbs and vacuum.

Pick it up by holding the start rope, If it stays and holds it's weight, that would be enough for me.

One turn out, and go from there.

Thanks Mange.
The cs3000 does lower itself quicker than other saws I own and makes a little fliud hissing sound as it lets itself down...that's why I was curious about the compression .
Looking into the exhaust port it looks fine...just seems low on compression and makes that strange sound when pulling the starter rope slowly.

George-the reason I noted the Walbro carb is that I have seen Zama's on the newer ones. This is a 1999 141 power head I found new in the box
(in peices) and just finished putting it together last night, hoping to try it today after work.
