a Craftsman 2.7A/VL

any ideas i can't find anything about this saw i'm thinking on buying it for $60

My Buddy, a craftsman guru says the only reference to "2.7A/VL and chainsaw" comes up as Sears model 271-358260 made by Kioritz Corp. = Echo . Might not be yours though

Sears still lists parts for it on partsdirect. You might be able to cross reference to the OEM for more info. I googled the craftsman model number... got 2 hits

No links, not much info out there. It seems to be a 2.7 cubic inch Echo. There is also a 4.3A/VL. Some info here:

Sears still lists many parts for it though substituted to Echo part numbers here:

So I guess if no one here can tell you the Echo version, you can try to figure it out with the Echo part numbers listed on the sears website to see which saw/saws from echo they fit on. They seem pretty rare.

That is probably a Echo CS-451CVL

At least thats the only 2.7 listed in my Echo to Sears cross reference.
