I picked up my new 365 Friday. Obviously I've been looking through the owners manual. So I have a few questions!

1- It recommends Husqvarna chain types H42 or H48. What is the difference between these two chains?

2- The chains I have for it now are H48 3/8 .058". Looking around on different sites I've noticed that the 3/8 .050" chains seem more popular. Why is this?

Thanks!

chain

I had the same ? When I bought my Jonsered. The troll set me strait on this one! 72=.50 73=.58 and 75=.63 on Oregon chain# I hope this helps. My dealer mainly sells .58 as that is the bar the Jreds he sells come in.

I'm still confused. I went on Oregon's web site. I could be looking at this wrong but it looks like their 73DP chain is shown with the bumpers like on a safety chain. My H48 chain doesn't have these. I just want to know the the difference between the H42 and H48 so I can figure out which one I should use. I cut hard wood, mostly cherry. If I fell the trees then the wood is clean. Some times I run into a little dirt from moving the trees around. I want a good all round chain. Thanks! :)
